Hillary Dawn
Senior Associate Attorney
A first-generation college student, Hillary received her Bachelor of Arts from Gonzaga University in 2010, double majoring in History and English Literature, with a minor in Political Science. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from University of Washington School of Law in 2015 (although she did not fulfil her mother’s lifelong dream of marching in the band).
Following law school, Hillary initially practiced estate planning and probate before adding family law to her repertoire in 2018. Since 2021, she has exclusively represented clients in all types of family law cases, ranging from simple agreed divorces to complex high-asset litigation. She has successfully represented clients in King, Pierce, Thurston, and Kitsap counties. Hillary understands that her clients are coming to her for realistic advice and reassuring support during the most emotionally challenging times in their lives. No two families are the same and Hillary believes that each case requires a unique mix of advocacy, strategy, and pragmatism. She is particularly passionate about protecting children from the emotional turmoil of divorce and about serving the LGBTQ+ community, understanding the unique challenges faced by parents who are not biologically related to their children in divorces or custody disputes. While she is a zealous advocate in the courtroom, she strives to avoid it through skillful negotiation. She believes the best outcomes are achieved when people are able to make their own decisions about what is best for their families, rather than an impersonal judge, and assists her clients in negotiating amicable resolutions whenever possible. Her goal for every client is that they leave her office feeling encouraged and empowered about the next phase of their lives.
Although she was raised in Enumclaw, Hillary now calls Gig Harbor home. She is an avid fan of all our local sports teams, but particularly of the Mariners. Her family’s Husky football season tickets have been passed down since 1958 and she is proud to be the third generation to carry on the Husky gameday tradition at the Greatest Setting in College Football. Outside the office, if she isn’t at a game, she enjoys sewing, crafting, and camping with her husband, two children, and their Welsh Corgi, Midna.
